yummy

I am so excited and waiting not so pateintly for my Girl Scout cookies to be delivered. Every year I say I will not get them next year, casue they aren't so good for you and I can't seem to eat just one. When I got home from work, there was a message saying that they were in! I called back and they said they would be over...but it has already been almost 2 hours!

Yeah, I know that it has been over a month and I didn't even post last month and now I am writing a post about cookies. I really have been trying to be "good" but sometimes you just need to eat a cookie or two!

Everything here is pretty normal...work, come home, eat dinner, go to sleep, wake up and do it all over again. I am so very ready for a vacation! I can not wait for Bandon...the beach...the sun...the sunsets...a horseback sunset ride...fish and chips...fishing...no work!!! YEAH for vacations!

Well, the cookies are here...gotta go!

this & that

I haven't really written too much lately. Life gets busy and I am good at making excuses. I seem to think if I wait long enough and wish hard enough things will just get done. For example, the dishes. I am convinced that if I wait long enough, I will come home one day and they will just be done. Dishes and laundry and dusting and cleaning are just never ending, so I am trying to change my attitude about housework. So far it has not worked, but hey tomorrow I have another chance to change my attitude. Although I need to be better about changing and doing things today and not later. Boy, my to do list keeps growing. Sometimes- OK all the time- it is hard to for me to change and admit I need to change and be better. We are trying to do the right thing and not eat out so much as it is not so healthy and a little expensive-but with eating out, you don't have to make or it clean up after. I do like the feeling of accomplishment when I do make dinner and Kim likes it. I just have to get used to cooking healthy again. Well-I started this on Sunday, but it is Monday now... I went to bed and wow-today I am doing better. My dishes are caught up and that makes me happy! Yeah!! Sometimes for me it is hard to do it one day at a time when you also try to make long term goals too. But all you can do is all you can do! I just have to keep telling myself and not get discouraged. Oh, and it snowed today. I had to drive over to pick Kim up after work. I did not drive fast, but went nice and slow. Some people were not too happy, but the roads were pretty bad and I made it to Kim's work safe-then he drove us home. I have started working out again and I feel great. I don't understand why it is so hard to get started and so easy to stop. I just have to remember this feeling so early in the morning when the bed is so warm and cozy. Speaking of nice and cozy, it is time to cuddle and watch a Jazz game.

Oh Well

Well, most of you probably know by now that our IVF cycle did not work. The embryos did not grow very well so we actually transferred three on day 5, but none of them wanted to grow in me. It's pretty hard, I'm not gonna lie. So-I haven't blogged lately cause I've been kinda sad and trying to keep busy and not eat too many chocolate things. So now we are just trying to get back "to normal" and see what we want to do next. We are gonna take a break and put away the needles and all the super expensive drugs for now and decide which direction to go next. And I am working hard at not being mad at Heavenly Father for not letting us have a baby. Anyhow enough sad...We are still working on our home and right now we are still working our bathroom downstairs. It is so nice to have 2 even if there are only 2 people in your house. When you gotta go you gotta go. And I have been busy making things with my cutter. I am posting some pics on my vinyl blog until my little bro can build me my website...so my blog link is to the right, but it is sayingitwithvinyl.blogspot.com and my website one day will be www.sayingitwithvinyl.com. Hope you like all my hard work!

i heart fridays

I love fridays that are followed by two days off. But at work it is better as I only have to work 1 in 4 saturdays now...so I have come to love fridays!! It is raining and almost snowing outside now...I'm just glad we are home. Kim does not mind driving in the snow, but I do not like to drive in inclement weather conditions including, rain, snow, sleet, hail, darkness, and a really bright sun shining over the mountain in the morning. So basically, I do not enjoy driving unless the weather is perfect-which is not often! I do like to drive and sing to the radio, but I like clear days with no traffic. Also, I just wanted to say that I am so thankful for fasting and prayer. This past fast Sunday I did a lot of thinking and praying and was given the answer that we may not know all the answers but if getting sealed for a man to a second wife in the temple is acceptable then it is part of the gospel and I have a testimony of the gospel. I don't have all the answers to lots of other things...so why should I get upset I don't have the answer to this. I just wanted to say thank you for all the prayers and kind thoughts, and I'm sure there will be days and occasions that are still hard to come, but I know it will be ok.

Congratulations?

Well, life sure changes fast. Kim and I are just working on going through another cycle of invitro sometime in the future and my dad calls up to share the news he is engaged!?! Ok, so he started dating a lady back in october-and I know I'm not the one to preach on the length of time it takes to fall in love-but come on! This is a time I need to focus on good thoughts and not have any stress, but that seemed to fly out the window. I know it sound selfish and it's all about me, but for second marriages there are a lot of other people involved. She has three grown kids and 4 grandkids already...dad has a house full of Mom's things and now wants to be sealed to another person. I'm trying to deal with this the best I can...and I don't want to get into too much of his person stuff. Guess I am making it more complicated than it is. But, i think that is a big step to choose to be sealed to another person..I was dealing with the marriage thing-which is what I was told-but then Jessica called yesterday and said that is was more than getting married. So, that was a big surprise. So, now I have to deal with it again-with additional info that would have helpful YESTERDAY!! Kim is being so sweet about it, but he is not in this position and does not know how it feels as he tells me often and before he gives me his opinion which is worth consideration...I love you sweetie you are the best! It's not like dad chose this path-Mom died back in 2002 and so it's not like they got divorced, although I've thought it would be easier to deal with if that were the case. But it is not, and that is life. Kim always says, "Life is choices." So, that leaves me with a few choices to make about how I feel and what I'm gonna do about it,which has seemed to change from day to day since wednesday when he called. I know it's his life and choice, but when he chose to get sealed again-it kicks it up a notch an makes it eternal. And this stirs up all kinds of other feelings and emotions and gospel principles I don't wanna think about. Just writing this is causing me to get upset...I thought it would help to type it out, but now I'm thinking not. Why can't I just be happy that he is happy with someone other than my Mom? He has not set a date yet, but as he said don't worry, "It won't be anytime this year." Yeah, does he know the year is almost over?!?! When I get stressed and sad I want to shop and I am working hard not to impulse shop and buy a vinyl letter cutter, which is my newest crafty obsession. Anyhow- my goal is not to get too upset and let my emotions take over so I can keep calm and happy during this very important time in our lives as we try to have a baby again- during several month process that includes lots of needles and blood draws. But, I will gladly do it since the outcome could be a baby for our family. And if is not the outcome, then we will have to start our family another way. Either way, I can't wait to see what fun changes this new year has in store for our little family.
